பாபா படத்தில் வரும் பல காட்சிகள் "யோகியின் சுயசரிதை" என்ற புத்தகத்தை தழுவி எடுக்கப்பட்டதாக நான் உணர்கிறேன்.

1. பட்டம் பறந்து வந்து ரஜினியிடம் விழுவது.
2. விதமான ஊர்தி இல்லாமல் இமயமலை செல்வது.
3. தியானத்தின் மூலம் ஜப்பானிய இளைஞரை காப்பாற்றுவது.
4. மந்திரத்தை தவறாக பயன்படுத்தும் பொது சுஜாதா, ரஜினிக்கு அறிவுரை வழங்குவது. மேற்கூறிய காட்சிகள் எல்லாம் இப்புத்தகத்தில் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளது.

இப்புத்தகத்தின் ஆசிரியர் சுவாமி யோகானந்தர், மஹா அவதார் பாபாஜியின் மூன்றாம் தலைமுறை சிஷ்யர் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

சுவாமி யோகானந்தர் கிரியா யோகத்தின்(சரியாக நினைவில்லை) மூலமாக இமயமலைக்கு சென்று அங்குள்ள யோகிகளை தரிசிக்கிறார். (ரஜினியும் சாயாஜி ஷிண்டேயும் எந்த விதமான ஊர்தி இல்லாமல் இமயமலை செல்வது.)

யோகனந்தரின் அக்காவிற்கு ஒருமுறை கையில் கட்டி வந்தது. அப்போது அக்கா கட்டி உள்ள இடத்தில மருந்து போடுகிறாள். யோகானந்தர் தன் கையில் கட்டியே இல்லாமல் மருந்து போடுவதை பார்த்து அக்கா அவனை திட்ட, உடனே யோகானந்தர், நாளை எனது கையில் மருந்து தடவப்பட்ட இடத்தில கட்டி உருவாகும். உனது கட்டி இருமடங்காகும் என்று கூற அவ்வாறே நேர்ந்தது. அக்கா இதை அன்னையிடம் கூற, அவர் யோகனந்தருக்கு அறிவுரை வழகுகிறார் பிரார்த்தனையை ஒருபோதும் தவறாக பயன்படுத்தகூடதென்று. (மந்திரத்தை தவறாக பயன்படுத்தும் பொது சுஜாதா, ரஜினிக்கு அறிவுரை வழங்குவது.)

தன்பிரார்த்தனையின் சக்தியை அக்காவுக்கு நிருபிக்க வானில் பறக்கும் பட்டத்தை தனக்கு அருகில் விழவைக்கிறார். அக்கா அது தானாக நடந்த நிகழ்வென்று எண்ணி நம்ப மறுக்கிறார். யோகானந்தர் மறுமடியும் பட்டத்தை தன் அருகில் விழ வைக்க அக்கா, தெய்வத்தாய் தம்பியின் பிரார்த்தனைக்கு குரல் கொடுக்கிறாள் என்று கூறிக்கொண்டு தன் அன்னையை நோக்கி ஓடுகிறாள். (ரஜினி இருமுறை மந்திரத்தை பிரயோகித்து பட்டத்தை வரச்செய்வது)

ஒருமுறை யோகானந்தர் தீராத நோயால் கடுமையாக பாதிக்கப்பட்டு உயிருக்கு போரடிகொண்டிருந்தார். அப்போது அவரது அன்னை, பாபாஜியின் சிஷ்யரான லகிரி மகாச்சயரின் படத்தை காட்டி அவரை பிரார்த்தனை செய்ய சொன்னார். லாகிரி மகாசயரின் அருளால் யோகானந்தர் குணமடைந்தார். (ரஜினி பிரார்த்தனையின் மூலம் ஜப்பானிய இளைஞரை காப்பாற்றுவது.)

லாகிரி மகாசயர்(பாபாஜியின் முதன்மை சீடர்) இதற்கு முன்னர் யோகனந்தரின் பெற்றோருக்கு கிரியா யோகத்தை அருளியுள்ளார். அவரே தனது புகைப்படம் ஒன்றையும் கொடுத்துள்ளார். அதனால் அந்த படம் சக்தி வாய்ந்ததாக காணப்பட்டது. லாகிரி மகாசயர் தன்னை ஒருபோதும் புகைப்படம் எடுக்க அனுமதித்ததில்லை. மீறி ஒருவன் புகைப்படம் எடுத்தபோது அவரைத்தவிர மற்ற அனைவரும் அந்த புகைபடத்தில் இருந்தனர். அப்போது லாகிரி மகாசயர் சொன்னார், " பூத உடலை படம் பிடிக்கலாம், ஆன்மாவை படம் பிடிக்க முடியாது என்று " . ஆனால் நம்மவர்கள் வற்புறுத்த தன்னை ஒரே ஒரு புகைப்படம் எடுக்க அனுமதித்தார். அந்த புகைபடத்தை லாகிரி மகாசயர் யோகனந்தரின் பெற்றோரிடம் வழங்கியிருந்தார்.

மேற்கூறிய நிகழ்ச்சிகள் யோகனந்தரின் இளமைபருவதில் நடந்தது. (பாபா படத்தில் ரஜினியின் செய்கைகள் யோகனந்தரின் செய்கைகளுக்கு ஒத்தது என்று நான் உணர்கிறேன்) இப்புத்தகத்தில் ஒரே ஒரு அத்தியாயம் மட்டுமே படித்துள்ளேன். அதற்குள் இதனை விஷயங்களா என்று என்னும்போது புத்தகத்தை முழுவதுமாக படிக்க வேண்டும் என்ற ஆவல் எனக்கு ஏற்படுகிறது. இப்புத்தகத்தை படித்தவர்கள் சொன்னார்கள், " இது ஒரு ஆன்மீக பொக்கிஷம்" என்று. பாபா படத்தை குப்பை என்று சொன்னவர்கள் இப்புத்தகத்தை படித்தால் மேற்கூறியதை வழிமொழிவார்கள்.

என்னை பொறுத்தவரை பாபா படம் ஒரு பொக்கிஷம் (புரிந்தவர்களுக்கு!)ஸ்ரீ ராகவேந்திரர் படத்தைப்போல நாம் பாதுகாக்க வேண்டிய பொக்கிஷம்.

ரஜினி ஏன் அடிக்கடி இமயமலை செல்கிறார் என்று கேட்பவர்கள் இப்புத்தகத்தை ஒருமுறை படிக்கவும்.

How to write an application?

Samples of application for Nannu and Mr Sharma are given in Annexure 1.

Why is it that this Act works when no other law seems to have worked in this country?

This is because of only one reason i.e. it says that if the concerned official does not give information in time, his salary could be deducted. This not only affects him financially, but also adversely affects his career. Therefore, every official tries to comply with this Act and provide information in time.

What if you do not hear anything in 30 days? Who would impose penalty on officials?

If you do not get information in 30 days (or 35 days, if you send your application through post office), you should file an appeal to the officer senior to the PIO. An appeal is nothing but a simple letter to the senior officer stating your grievance. He is required to listen to your grievance within 30 days of your appeal. If you do not get a satisfactory response from the senior officer also within 30 days, then you should file an appeal in the form of a simple letter to the Information Commission, specifically designated for this purpose. The Information Commissioners have the power to impose penalties on guilty officials.

Though RTI can be used by people in several ways,

Like developmental works, rations, etc, wherein people have to pay bribes to get their legitimate work done in any Government Department, either due to expectation of bribe or due to simple laziness of the concerned officials.

The following message should be aggressively promoted through advertisements and various programs:

"You need not pay bribes any more in this country. Now you have an effective alternative - Right to Information. Use RTI. Often, it works faster than bribes."

What are the types of issues, which could be taken up by Citizens of INDIA ?

Wherever you have a legitimate work pending, you have filed all the documents, you have completed all formalities, you have a genuine case, which the official ought to do in his normal course of duty but is not doing either for expectation of bribe or merely laziness. We call it extortionist bribery. For instance,

q Issue of passport

q Issue of any type of license

q Issue of various certificates like marriage certificate, death certificate, birth certificate, SC/ST certificate, OBC certificate etc

q Inclusion of name in voters' list

q Issue of voter ID card

q Correction of water, electricity, telephone bills

q Any legitimate problem with a department like change of faulty meter, providing new water or electricity connection, etc

q Filing of FIR

q Claiming various kinds of refunds or payments etc like tax refund, medical reimbursement etc

RTI Activist should be required to draft applications for the issues mentioned in Annexure 3. Many more such issues could be thought of and practice should be done for them.

Whereas in most of the cases, the standard RTI application form annexed at Annexure 2 herewith would be sufficient and only blanks would need to be filled, however, RTI Activists could ask more questions specific to the case, which tend to nail down the authorities.

Some situations for which volunteers should draft RTI applications during training sessions


q You made a complaint to the police but they are not registering FIR.

q You want to know balance in your PF account. You have retired and want to claim your PF but the authorities are not responding to your letters.

q You are a Government servant and have been transferred out against the transfer policy. The Government is not responding to your requests to transfer you back.

q You are a Government servant. Your requests for claim of medical reimbursements are not being heeded to.

q You have a faulty electricity meter in your house. But the authorities are not replacing it despite repeated requests.

q The sewer is choked in your locality for some time but the authorities have not responded to repeated requests.
